Going for a walk outside is a simple and effective way to rest, recover, and restore. You’ll get a little bit of movement while getting some quality time outdoors.
4. Get more sleep.
While you’re asleep, your body carries out various processes that promote recovery, growth, and healing. With more sleep, you’ll get more quality recovery time. Sneak in a few more moments of sleep by going to bed earlier or with a quick power nap during the day.
5. Do some mobility work.
Another way to promote recovery and restoration is through myofascial release work using tools like tennis balls and foam rollers. It’s helpful to target trouble spots in your hips, quads, hamstrings, thoracic spine, and calves.
